Utah.Gov Launches Two Free iPhone Applications

First State Government to Offer iPhone Applications

SALT LAKE CITY --(Business Wire)-- Apr 13, 2009 Utah.Gov, the official Web site of the state of Utah, announced today the release of the free “Utah.Gov” and “Utah Professional License Lookup” iPhone applications, available immediately through the Apple iTunes Store. Utah is the first state government in the nation to develop and release an iPhone application.

Available for free at the iPhone App Store by searching for Utah.Gov, the applications allow users to take advantage of the advanced capabilities of the iPhone and iPod Touch interface, making business with government even more convenient and accessible.

The Utah.Gov application provides a quick reference to locate state agencies, services and current news for the state of Utah. The application makes it easy to locate more than 1,000 online government services through a simple search interface or through topical browsing. The Utah.Gov Web site has nearly 2.5 million visitors each month, and the new iPhone application provides yet another gateway for citizens to interact with government.
