Human Capital Management Solution Replaces Oracle HR and Kronos Systems

Toronto, ON – January 11, 2010- (Virtual Press Office) – Dayforce®, the human capital management company that uses Rich Internet Application technology to help businesses measurably improve workforce performance, today announced that Longo’s has implemented Dayforce Labor Planning, Labor Scheduling, Time & Attendance and Human Resources. Dayforce completed the implementation both on-time and on-budget.

Longo Brothers Fruit Markets, more popularly known as Longo’s, employs 3,500 workers in its 19 grocery stores and grocery delivery services in Ontario, Canada. The company has been selected by the Financial Post newspaper as one of Canada’s Top 50 privately-managed companies for eight consecutive years.

Dayforce is an example of the “Software as a Service”, or SaaS, method of delivering enterprise solutions, whereby a single monthly fee includes software, maintenance, upgrades, support and hosting. This model allows companies such as Longo’s to significantly reduce their overall costs of ownership, including the costs of implementation. By implementing Dayforce, Longo’s replaced traditional, on-premise applications from Oracle and Kronos.
