Maximum Family Games Announces Launch of Tween-Targeted Mystery Game
SAN FRANCISCO – (May 9, 2011)- (Virtual Press Office) – Maximum Family Games (MFG), publisher of the popular Junior Series for the Nintendo DS, announced today the upcoming launch of Mystery Quest: Curse of the Ancient Spirits, a new hidden-objects adventure game targeted to young teens as well as adults.
“Mystery Quest: Curse of the Ancient Spirits is geared toward younger generations as well as older ones who have an interest in the mystery genre,” said Len Ciciretto, president of MFG. “It follows the classic whodunit storyline that appeals to puzzle-lovers.”
The game tracks the tale of a young girl named Virginia who, along with her aging father, discovers an ancient galleon shipwrecked on a Caribbean island. Upon examining its contents, the duo soon realizes that the ship has been unaffected by the several centuries over which it has been abandoned. The story intensifies when Virginia’s father suddenly disappears, leaving the young woman to unravel the mystery before her.
“This is an exciting release for MFG,” said Ciciretto. “Whereas many of our puzzle and adventure titles cater to younger children, Mystery Quest: Curse of the Ancient Spirits satisfies an older group who enjoy both crime-solving and detective work.”
Mystery Quest: Curse of the Ancient Spirits includes over 50 levels with more than 1,000 hidden objects and clues to find. The game also features twelve mini-games for additional challenge.
