Cigarette Racing Team Ever-impressive in Miami
Booth B-23 at The Miami Beach Convention Center is a Top "Must Stop" on Visitors' List
Miami Beach, FL -- (Virtual Press Office) -- You can count on Cigarette Racing Team always delivering something hot and new at the Progressive Insurance Miami International Boat Show. This year, the manufacturer of the iconic luxury performance boats will make a revolutionary unveiling, expanding the latest news in technology and power, in conjunction with automotive performance giant, Mercedes AMG. The groundbreaking, technology-intensive joint design study will be unveiled at a press conference to be held on Thursday morning at 10:45 AM at booth B-23 in the Miami Beach Convention Center
While the AMG-Cigarette technology project will be a focus of the weekend show, the newest in the 2013 Cigarette model lineup will also provide a "show-stopping" attraction.
The Cigarette performance center consoles continue to top the powerboat market and the luxurious and spacious 42' Huntress is the leader of the pack as it "wowed" show attendees with its five, Mercury Racing 350 Verado engine configuration last year. The boat's new 360-degree visibility, patent-pending top has been an important addition to the original design and will be seen at the show. "Cigarette never says, 'This is good enough,'" says Skip Braver, President and CEO, "We always strive to keep fine-tuning and perfecting each model."
The popular 39' Top Fish which started the market swing to center consoles 7 years ago has been revamped as the 39 GT. While previously called a "fish" boat it became the first step in the design of pure performance center consoles which gave boaters the option of comfort, space and ease of operation without sacrificing speed, power and the ultimate in finish and instrumentation. The GT open bow configuration on display in Miami sports an ergonomically designed lounge in front of the helm (which also covers the spacious stand-up head and shower), so comfortable sun-worshipping is available along with assorted seating front and aft. The 39 GT can be powered with multiple Mercury Verado engine applications; the show version sports triple 300's.
39 Top Gun Open
This sporty center console grew from the iconic 38 Top Gun; it has the same twin-stepped hull for superior handling in calm or rough water, and while the 8' beam makes it nimble and easy to handle, the open bow configuration opens it to many opportunities—and people! A stand-up head and shower are concealed under a spacious cockpit with top-of-the-line Garmin navigation and a customized JL Audio sound system. Seating is generous with much storage, space for coolers, water toys—and friends!
Cigarette Stands True to Tradition!
Traditional powerboats are a part of Cigarette's legacy as well as its present and future, as evidenced by the 42X and 50' Marauder, also displayed at the show.
Glass cockpits and top-notch entertainment systems have been engineered into each Cigarette through partnerships with Garmin International and JL Marine Audio, ensuring that each model has navigation and sound systems that suit its size, seating configuration, cockpit and/or cabin design. Garmin's new technology interfaces with Mercury and Mercury Racing engines to provide fully-customizable digital feedback, while JL Audio has created a plan for each Cigarette model to ensure the ultimate speaker, woofer and tweeter configuration and the perfect sound for each boat. Every Cigarette boat is individually customized in the company's new Design Center; it was recently constructed at its Opa Locka factory to give Cigarette boat buyers the truly hands-on experience of creating their "dream boat."
The Cigarette 42X encompasses all the qualities of an ideal Poker Run powerboat and can reach triple digit speeds with ease. This hull has been finely-tuned for top performance in any kind of water and is all Cigarette from its sleek deck and hull to its throaty, powerful Mercury Racing 700 HP engines.
Mercury Racing's 1350's power the Marauder which is often compared to a dragster; it has strong torque and acceleration as well as smooth and comfortable top speeds of 125+ mph. While the Marauder is the biggest Cigarette, it handles like a powerful sports car and is responsive and smooth and impressive on the water—and at the dock.
Cigarette Racing Team will share other new innovations in technology and design at the show, so be sure to make booth B-23 your first stop at the Miami International Boat Show, February 14-18. For more information, visit
