LOS ANGELES, March 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Returning to Austin for the fifth year, Myspace (new.myspace.com), announced today that it will bring its legendary Myspace Secret Shows® to an undisclosed downtown Austin location, March 14-16 during the SXSW Music Festival.

In true Secret Show fashion, audiences won't know who's performing until the day before each show, when they'll hear it directly from the artists themselves. The eclectic lineup will feature artists curated by Myspace to appeal to fans descending on the live music capital of the world. We wish we could say more, but it is a secret.

"Knowing how serious Austinites are about music, we thought they'd appreciate hearing it straight from their favorite artists first," said Christian Parkes, global vice president of marketing, Myspace. "We're bringing a diverse slate of talent to SXSW that's reflective of the democracy of the new Myspace."

The shows will be completely free and open to audiences on a first-come, first-served basis. Keeping in line with its promise to help connect artists with their fans, each Myspace Secret Show artist will decide how they want to get the word out, giving fans all the more reason to connect to their favorite artists on the new Myspace today.
