Three New Modular Matrixes from Gefen Offer Total Customization with HDBaseT and Fiber Optics Outputs

Las Vegas, NV – (Virtual Press Office) -- Gefen showcases three new modular matrix frames that accommodate a mix of DVI and DisplayPort inputs in 8x8, 16x16 and 32x32 configurations. Users can insert input boards in 8x increments for both formats, allowing them to tailor system configuration on the source side.

All three matrix frames provide 8x output boards supporting DVI, and all eight signals can be output in one of three ways: connected locally using DVI cabling (8x DVI); extended up to 100 meters using CAT-5 cabling with Gefen's ELR (Extra Long Range) technology based on HDBaseT (8x ELR); or extended up to 330 meters using fiber optics cabling (8x 1FO). Both the 8x ELR and 8x 1FO extension modules come with small receiver units that deliver video to each extended display. The use of Gefen POL (Power Over Line) technology eliminates the need to connect a power supply to each receiver at the remote location.

The 8x8, 16x16 and 32x32 Modular Matrixes all provide cross-point matrix routing, allowing a one-to-one or one-to-many signal distribution. High resolution video is supported up to 1920x1200. Each matrix provides a front-panel LCD for routing status. Users can control each matrix from the front-panel push buttons, the RS-232 interface, or by using IP control. Hot-swappable, dual redundant power supplies are included for improved 24/7 durability. Like all GefenPro products, the matrixes come with 24/7 customer support and a two-year warranty.
