CJZ Trumps Factual Programming in Oz!

THE 2013 LOGIES – (Virtual Press Office) -- Australia’s annual Television awards - was held last night in Melbourne. CJZ were given the nod by both the Australian viewing audience and industry peers proving to be the leaders in Factual Programming by taking home the Logies in both categories.

The winners :

Bondi Rescue (Network TEN) - Most Popular Factual Program

Go Back To Where You Came From (SBS) - Most Outstanding Factual Program

Bondi Rescue follows the work of the elite professional Lifeguards who patrol Australia’s busiest beach. The show has been on-air in Australia for eight years and has taken out the award of Most Popular Factual Series for the last six years!

Bondi Rescue is broadcast in over 150 territories worldwide.

“Bondi Rescue's unique blend of drama, character and humour is at the heart of its enduring popularity.” Executive Producer Michael Cordell

Go Back To Where You Came From is also setting a pattern with its winning streak receiving the Rose d’Or and its first Logie last year and the AFI AACTA this year. The award winning program follows six Australians, each with differing opinions on Australia's asylum seeker debate, who are then taken on a dangerous journey to walk in the shoes of those seeking refugee status in Australia.

The format has attracted worldwide interest and is already in production in Germany and Denmark with options elsewhere including the USA, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Norway.

“We're incredibly proud to scoop both awards for most popular and most outstanding factual for the second year in a row. It's a testament to the team's skill as storytellers across all genres.” CEO Nick Murray

CJZ is a recent merger of Cordell Jigsaw Productions and Zapruder’s Other Films, two leading Australian independents. CJZ is now Australia’s largest independently owned producer specialising in original content across all genres.
