Cars of the Stars on Display at the Concours dElegance at The Americana at Brand
25 Classic Convertibles Including Cars of the Hollywood Stars and
Cars from Major Motion Pictures on Display for the Public One Day Only,

On Sunday, May 31, Caruso Affiliated will host its second annual
Concours dElegance presented by the prestigious Petersen Automotive
Museum at The Americana at Brand in downtown Glendale. From 11a.m. to
4p.m. visitors will get an up close look at 25 rare and classic
convertibles many of which have either been owned by celebrities
throughout Hollywood history or have appeared in major motion pictures.
“Were excited to co-host the Concours dElegance event with the
Petersen Automotive Museum at The Americana at Brand for the second
year,” says Jennifer Gordon, senior vice president of public relations
and special events for Caruso Affiliated. “Car enthusiasts, families and
shoppers will be able to get a rare look at classic cars that have been
owned by famous stars and others they may recognize from the big screen.”
One of the main attractions is sure to be the 1949 DELAHAYE Type 178
Drophead Coupe, formerly owned by the legendary Elton John and regarded
as one of the most sophisticated European automobiles of the immediate
post-war era. Other star cars on display include a 1956 Jaguar XKSS,
formerly owned by Steve McQueen; 1965 Imperial Convertible formerly
owned by Katherine Hepburn; 1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster Convertible,
formerly owned by Jack Nicholson and used in the movie, "The Two Jakes";
the 1951 Mercury Kustom from David Lee Roth's "California Girls" video,
and the "Speed Racer" Mach 5 prototype.
The Petersen Automotive Museum is dedicated to the exploration and
presentation of the automobile and its impact on American life and
culture using Los Angeles as the prime example. Encompassing more than
300,000 square feet, its exhibits and lifelike dioramas feature more
than 150 rare and classic cars, trucks and motorcycles. The Petersen
