) -- Since 2010, P3 communications offers Interference Hunting services and already supports three of the four main US carriers with this specialized network optimization method. The recent implementation of PIM testing into the service portfolio made the company an “all-in-one” service provider: everything interference related, both external and internal, can be handled by P3’s RF experts. Initially operating only on the US East Coast, the service area is growing steadily and is planned to cover all of the United States and parts of Canada by the end of 2014.
The Interference Hunting team specializes in localizing external network interferences with experienced engineers and high-tech equipment and also strives to shut down any interference emitting device permanently. Usually the network operators do not have to deal with the third parties responsible for the interference or involve government entities such as the FCC – no need to research business owners, no struggle for access to buildings in residential or commercial areas and significantly less administrative burden. P3 communications is able to react quickly and flexibly whenever sites require an urgent investigation. Once an investigation request for an acute or non-acute site is received the specially trained RF engineers troubleshoot the equipment for internal interference or track the signals of an external source and follow it persistently to its origin. This “hunt” is affected by the environment, local conditions and infrastructure. Thanks to their experience, the engineers know how these factors influence the measurements and how to interpret them – this usually allows them to localize the source within a short timeframe and results in efficient network optimization for the carrier.
