DreamHammer Press Conference/Demo to Launch
Industry's First Software Supporting UCS
-- General release to public, new strategic alliance and call to action for small businesses set at largest international tradeshow for unmanned systems in Washington D.C. --
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) Conference 2013 – Tuesday, August 13, 2013 –
(Virtual Press Office
) -- DreamHammer's CEO, Nelson Paez, will announce the general release to the public of the industry's first software supporting the UCS (UAS Control Segment) at a 10:30 a.m. press conference, demonstration and Q&A at the AUVSI media center. (DreamHammer is at booth No. 2727.)
DreamHammer® also will announce a new strategic alliance that will extend command and control into the maritime domain. In addition, Paez will issue a call to action for small businesses to bring their innovation, agility and ingenuity to the next gen platform.
Just last month, DreamHammer completed a series of successful demonstrations with the U.S. Defense Department (DoD) and UAS prime contractors. These demonstrations proved "out-of-the-box" support of the UCS (UAS Control Segment) interoperability standard allows DreamHammer's Ballista® – the industry's first commercial multi-drone operating system – to "plug & play" with all current and future unmanned aircraft, their sensors, embedded systems, and related command and control software and operational databases.
"The demonstrations with the DoD and UAS prime contractors were critical to the official launch," said Nelson Paez, CEO of DreamHammer, two months after a pre-general release in May following previous beta and alpha releases. "For years customers has dared to dream of complete interoperability with all unmanned systems, and we at DreamHammer continue to work very hard to help make that dream a reality."
Ballista, by virtue of its open architecture, already has the ability to integrate with any proprietary UAS, allowing a single operator to simultaneously manage multiple unmanned vehicles. Ballista's support of UCS now opens its commercial customers to "plug & play" with the U.S. defense market.
Ballista is commercial off the shelf software that is designed to the highest military and safety critical standards yet goes beyond military applications to work with all unmanned drones and robots. Ballista can be used to link multiple drones into one master system, all controlled by one person, in any number of industries from transportation, logistics, agriculture to law enforcement and beyond.
DreamHammer has been licensing the software and providing support services to U.S. military and intelligence customers since August 2011. Ballista is poised to become the industry standard for drone and robot control software for the multi-billion dollar global unmanned systems industry.
Ballista includes an easy to use, robust software development kit (SDK) that can be licensed by developers to integrate their drones, robots and third party apps.
DreamHammer, headquartered in Santa Monica, California, with field offices in Arlington, Va., San Diego, Calif., and Honolulu, Hawaii, is a commercial software company with clients in the military and industrial bases.
