The 209 bedroom Extreme Hotel will open in early 2015 for domestic and international travellers. About Rosa Khutor
The Rosa Khutor Alpine Resort is located at Aibga Ridge and will host all Alpine Skiing disciplines (Downhill, Combined (downhill and slalom), Giant Slalom and the Super Giant Slalom) and is one of the prioritized Olympic construction facilities.
The unique aspect of the resort is the single finishing zone for all ski disciplines as well as the Olympic piste with 1000 meters altitude difference and six flying lengths up to 70 meters. The pistes were designed by a world renowned expert and vice president of FIS Alpine Committee, Bernhard Russi. The length of Olympic pistes totals 9 kilometers, and the complex will have 18,000 seats for spectators.
The Snowboard Park and Freestyle Centre is at an elevation of 1100–1200 m above sea level and together creates one of the most comfortable venues for both for sportsmen and for spectators.
For the Winter Olympics 2014, the capacity of the Snowboard Park is up to 15,000 people (seating for 5,000 people and standing room for 10,000). The capacity of the Freestyle Centre is up to 14,000 people (seating for 4,000 people and standing room for 10,000). These facilities will be operational by the end of 2011 for test competitions.
