Creating this connection provides the client withthe ability to review, edit, and make ‘live’ updates during the development process while also being able to track progress, revisions and providecomments along the way. The storyboard process is the foundation on which all e-learning should be built. Once all of the content is assembled, the storyboard is where the instructional designers, graphics designers and client all collaborate together to bring the vision of the e-learning to life. What iPal has done differently is bring to life a storyboard that has typically been a static document. The storyboard document starts with the content and evolves to include the contextual components such as direction and placement of the graphics, animations, activities, quizzes and simulations. Additionally, the document identifies the learning objectives, introductions and summaries, and flow and transition of content from one screen to another. The storyboard is the vital part of the planning process that allows the clients, Subject Matter Experts (SME), program developers and stakeholders to have their say, provide input, review and approve the e-learning product before the development process begins.
