iPal Interactive Learning Creates Automated Interactive Storyboard Process

OTTAWA, August 2012 (Virtual Press Office) -

August 2012, iPal Interactive Learning has launchedits innovative automated storyboard which is designed to improve the e-learning development process by seamlessly connectingclients with the production team in real-time. Creating this connection provides the client withthe ability to review, edit, and make ‘live’ updates during the development process while also being able to track progress, revisions and providecomments along the way. This technology will provide an organization with more structure and control over the development of their e-learning programs, producing more efficient, cost effective and enhanced e-learning programs. iPal’s interactive and user-friendly storyboard process is online and accessible anytime, anywhere providing the client an opportunity to be involved as little or as much as they wish during the planning stages of e-learning course development.

The storyboard process is the foundation on which all e-learning should be built. Once all of the content is assembled, the storyboard is where the instructional designers, graphics designers and client all collaborate together to bring the vision of the e-learning to life. What iPal has done differently is bring to life a storyboard that has typically been a static document. The storyboard document starts with the content and evolves to include the contextual components such as direction and placement of the graphics, animations, activities, quizzes and simulations. Additionally, the document identifies the learning objectives, introductions and summaries, and flow and transition of content from one screen to another. The storyboard is the vital part of the planning process that allows the clients, Subject Matter Experts (SME), program developers and stakeholders to have their say, provide input, review and approve the e-learning product before the development process begins.

Having already created their proprietary e-learning development methodology, The Instructional Design Maturity Model, iPal’s Brad Loiselle has a solid understanding of the critical components that are involved in creating a successful e-learning course.“Good communication and transparency with eachclient is extremely important to our team at iPal. The automated storyboard process is just another way we are committed to providing the best e-learning solution for our client’s needs.” Brad Loiselle, Managing Director, iPal Interactive Learning, A Knightsbridge Company.
