WITHIT RETURNS TO BRAND LICENSING EUROPE WITH A FOCUS ON ITS TWO NEW PROPERTIES

For release: London, August 2012

(Virtual Press Office) - Withit, the international art design and lifestyle brand (stand number F085), will head to Brand Licensing Europe 2012 in London this October with a focus on its two most recent brand launches - Phizzogs and Doodleboos and build the licensee base for both properties across the UK and EMEA.

Following the signing of three significant UK and international Phizzogs deals and following on from the success and interest generated in Phizzogs and Doodleboos at the International Licensing Expo in June, Withit's attendance at Olympia is to specifically broaden both brands across the home wares, gifting, greetings cards and poster categories.

Phizzogs is a fun, cheeky and irreverent cartoon-style art brand. Targeting the slightly risqué and attitudinal teenage age-group, this new brand which launched earlier this year lends itself exceptionally well to apparel and gifting categories.

Doodleboos are six beautifully designed animal characters (hippo, elephant, ladybird, frog, squirrel and panda) in a soft-colour palette and targets the mums and pre-school market. As a non-TV but design-led brand it is represented by a beautiful style guide, developed by Watermelon. The brand lends itself to licensees across apparel, bedding, stationery & gifting, and is expected to be popular with those looking to develop non-commercial product ranges in these categories.

Withit will also be launching new artwork for some of the Withit characters (Cheeky and Miss Cheeky). This is the company's flagship brand and the refreshed characters will be revealed at the show.

Richard Woolf, International Licensing Director comments: "We're looking forward to returning to BLE with two new brands for 2012, both of which offer quirky and innovative art-design characters to the market. We are keen to grow our footprint and product portfolio in the UK and EMEA, Asia and Lat America – Phizzogs and Doodleboos position us well to achieve this."
