Antennas Direct unveils Broadcast Partnership Program to Fuel the Fire in Cord-Cutting Movement

SEPTEMBER 6, 2012; ST. LOUIS – (Virtual Press Office) - If the pace continues, 2012 stands to be a banner year for the cord-cutting movement. Recent numbers show 400,000 cut the cord last quarter, putting the trend on pace to top last year’s estimate of 1.5 million. As a growing number of households cut the cord, a demand has emerged for access to free over-the-air programming. Antennas Direct, a leading antenna manufacturer, recently unveiled the Broadcast Partnership Program, creating strategic alliances with broadcasters nationwide to further promote free, high-quality programming through the use of an HD Antenna.

Free TV is making a comeback. Cable and satellite companies are losing customers in record numbers as more and more households turn to free over-the-air programming. The Broadcast Partnership Program will raise awareness of free television programming, allowing broadcasters to increase their OTA viewership while viewers save hundreds a year.
