(Virtual Press Office) -- Booth 746 – Designed for versatility in a wide variety of settings, Gefen's new automation systems offer a plug and play method of controlling all audio/video devices in a system plus bonus features such as lighting control. For worship facilities, these new automation systems offer an easy method of integrating and controlling devices without an extensive technical background or programming know-how.
Professional Control Automation System (PACS)
PACS makes it simple to control HDTV displays, switchers, distribution amplifiers, scalers, computers and more from a central interface. It features a high-efficiency method of accessing audio/video devices equipped with RS-232 or IR over a networked system. Volume, video distribution, power and more can all be controlled from any web browser. Audio/video systems can be accessed from anywhere, including mobile phones, computers and tablets. IR commands can also be stored on PACS to remember pre-configured files or commands to centralize and automate audio/video access. Eight IR emitters, three RS-232 and ten trigger outputs are provided. An Ethernet 10/100 BaseT connection is included along with a locking power supply to prevent disconnects.
Mini Professional Control Automation System (Mini-PACS)
The Mini PACS version offers the same features as the PACS in a scaled down, wall-mountable enclosure. It supplies three IR blasters, two relays and one RS-232 port in addition to an Ethernet 10/100 BaseT connection. A lower price point makes the Mini PACS affordable for smaller systems that still want anywhere/anytime access to their A/V systems.
Gefen Audio/Video Automation (GAVA)
GAVA allows control of all of audio/video devices, lighting and window shades through smartphones and tablets using an IP connection. When GAVA is combined with PACS, users can control any connected device in the home using IP, IR and RS-232 as well as the capability to control lighting and more. GAVA is easily configured using a wizard-type set up to define the equipment being used and where it is located. The user interface is written using HTML5 coding to provide the look, feel and function of a native application with the simplicity of a browser interface. It offers robust features using a web-based GUI for a fraction of the price that similar automation systems cost. The interface provides key information in an easy to assimilate manner so it surpasses former, very complex remote control options. GAVA is very simple to control and operate, primarily because it leverages familiar, web-based applications. It does not require Internet access for configuration or use.
