MGM Television announces Mipcom Slate

Includes highly anticipated new releases, Hollywood blockbusters and a highly anticipated new TV Series

Los Angeles, USA – September 24, 2012 (Virtual Press Office) – MGM Television announced its slate of titles for Mipcom 2012, including the highly anticipated feature films; Skyfall, the new 007 film directed by Sam Mendes and starring Daniel Craig; The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, directed by Peter Jackson and starring Cate Blanchett, Ian McKellen and Elijah Wood; the fantasy-thriller Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters; the remake of the horror classic Carrie and box office hits 21 Jump Street, Robocop and Zookeeper. Television series highlights include the launch of Vikings and a new season of the hit series Teen Wolf.

Skyfall (140 min) – Daniel Craig returns for a third time as secret agent 007 with the Academy Award® winner Sam Mendes directing. Craig's first two appearances in this iconic role resulted in box-office gold as Quantum of Solace and Casino Royal became the two highest grossing Bond films of all-time. Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes and Judi Dench also star.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (120 min) – Bilbo Baggins, a Hobbit, journeys to the Lonely Mountain accompanied by a group of dwarves to reclaim a treasure taken from them by the dragon Smaug. Directed by Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings trilogy), the film stars Ian McKellen, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Elijah Wood and Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins.

Vikings (9x60') – a drama series that revolves around the Norsemen who raided, traded and explored during medieval times, follows the adventures of Ragnar Lothbrok as he rises to become king of the Viking tribes.

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters (120 min) – the fantasy-thriller is a new twist on the old tale that jumps fifteen years after the infamous incident at the gingerbread house. The brother-sister duo is now a bounty hunter team determined to bring evil witches to a halt.

Robocop (120 min) – the latest in one of the most successful franchises in MGM history, Robocop centers around Officer Alex Murphy, who is resurrected by a scientist that combines robotics with Murphy's human brain to create the ultimate crime-fighting machine.

Carrie (120 min) – a high school girl who is ruthlessly harassed by her classmates, unleashes strange mental powers towards them, leading to terror, mayhem and potential death.

21 Jump Street (120 min) – Starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as two cops who trade their guns for backpacks and go undercover in a local high school. They get more than they bargained for when they have to revisit the terror and anxiety of being a teenager again while investigating a violent and dangerous drug ring.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (120 min) – the first film in Columbia Pictures' three-picture adaptation of Stieg Larsson's literary blockbuster The Millennium Trilogy. Directed by David Fincher and starring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara, the film is based on the first novel in the trilogy, which altogether have sold 50 million copies in 46 countries and become a worldwide phenomenon. The screenplay is by Steven Zaillian.

Zookeeper (120 min) – a comedy starring Kevin James as a beloved but very lonely zookeeper who gets advice on love from animals in his zoo.

Teen Wolf (24x60') – a drama series about a socially awkward high school teen who is bitten by a werewolf and now possesses super human abilities. He is put in the middle of a war between werewolves and werewolf hunters, the leader of which is the father of the girl he loves.
