Peace Point Rights Announces New Acquisitions from Grand Pictures

Toronto, Canada – October 1, 2012 – (Virtual Press Office) – Peace Point Rights announces the acquisition of several new scripted series and feature films from Ireland's Grand Pictures.

School Run (1x75') a scripted dramatic comedy about a modern day private school in Ireland on the verge of closing and the desperate measure it takes find funds to keep the school open.

Stew (12x30'), seasons 1&2 of the a character-based sketch series written and performed by Paul Tylak and Paul Woodfull, with an ensemble cast of top comedy performers and writers. Incorporating both well-known and new character creations, its fast passed and packed with content.

Ding Dong Denny O'Reilly (1x30') a live recording of Paul Woodfull's comic creation. Through music and banter during the course of the gig, Ding Dong Denny O'Reilly, a working class Irish republican ballad singer, discusses everything from the Irish republican movement to fast food to making love.

Fergus's Wedding (6x30') A comedy series following the adventures of Fergus who is engaged to be married to his English girlfriend Penny.

Spin the Bottle (feature) Rats, of Paths to Freedom fame, is released from prison yet again. In an attempt to replace stolen money, Rats realizes he must use his only talent, his musical genius, and reforms his band Spermdotcom, crashing a boy band competition live on national television.

Situations Vacant (feature) There are only three ways to succeed in life... lie, lie, and lie. Situations Vacant is a contemporary comedy set in the world of Dave Bracken. It's a film about self- esteem, how to have it, how to lose it and how to get it back again.

Dead Long Enough (feature) the comedic story of Ben Jones (Jason Hughes) a depressed Welsh Lawyer who lives in the shadow of his larger than life, celebrity brother Harry Jones (Michael Sheen). Their trip back to Ireland to relive the great times in their youth, which ends up coincidentally recce for a future TV show, begins a series of events that changes their lives forever.
