A NEW STAR IS BORN: ALDEBARAN, THE FIRST POLE FOR THE DISTRIBUTION OF ITALIAN CARTOONS WORLDWIDE. ALREADY SIGNED SOME AGREEMENTS FOR THE LAUNCHING OF THE FIRST SERIES ON THE INTERNATIONAL MARKET.
Rome, October 2, 2012 -- (Virtual Press Office) -- Big news in the Italian cartoons' market: Aldebaran Distribution is born! The first Italian Company specialized in the international distribution of the top products of Italian animation. It will provide a range of tailored made services to boost the commercial relations between Italian producers and International broadcasters and increase opportunities for exploiting Italian properties on the International market. Albebaran Distribution will take care of distribution, but will also follow co-production projects, licensing, legal advice, international strategic planning and a qualified after-sales service. The official announcement will be given at the major international trade fairs Mipcom and MipJunior, which will take place from 6 to 11 October in Cannes (France).
Aldebaran Distribution has been created by Anna d'Alessandro, who has previous experience in Companies' Internationalization both in Italy and abroad, and Cristina Angelucci, an expert in international licensing market. The new Company has already signed some agreements with some of the most important Italian Producers. Among the titles already in its portfolio there are: "Lupo Alberto", "I Cosi", "Stefi" and "Spaghetti Family", produced by The Animation Band; "Oh Boy!" and "Oh Boy! II", produced by Enanimation; "Penny X", "Sbrain" and "About Love", produced by Gertie Production; and last but not least "A Skeleton Story", the Christmas Special "The Song of the Shepherds" and the movie "the Art of Happiness" produced by MAD Entertainment. In the meantime, Aldebaran Distribution is already negotiating with other important Italian producers.

"First of all, it's the first Italian Distribution Company born 'pure', that means with no involvements whatsoever with the production aspects. Therefore it's able to communicate with all Italian Producer at the same level and represent all the Italian Products with the same expertise. Moreover, its mission is to become the connection, the meeting point among the best Italian Independent Producers and International Broadcasters. In Italy, in fact, there are several excellent Producers, that create beautiful products that have nothing to envy to the International products. But these Producers rarely manage to cross our borders and reach the foreign market, but from now on they will be able to count on a real international sales force. "
