How much does VPO cost? |
|
VPO is free to members of the media. All press releases, company information
areas and email distribution are provided at no cost. Content may be uploaded
to the site and distributed to a global audience for a fee. For more information about our services, please

Why does VPO ask for personal
information when registering?
|
|
VPO asks for information about you so that we can personalize your VPO experience.
For example, knowing your area of interest from your
Profile
allows VPO to provide you with more relevant press releases, invitations, and product
information.

How do I sign in and sign out? |
You can sign in from the VPO Home Page. Type your username
and password in the login area and click the Log In button.
You must be a registered member to sign in. To register, please select one of the
registration types above. To sign out, click the Log Out button.
Some VPO services, such as your Profile or your personalized My NewsPage, require you
to sign in before using them. This protects the confidentiality of your personal information.

Why do I have to sign in and sign out? |
Signing in and out protects your personal
information. Before you access services that might contain sensitive, personal
information, VPO asks you to sign in to verify your identity. For example, if you
want to edit your profile with VPO, you will be asked to sign in before viewing the
profile. You also must sign in to view your personalized My NewsPage or submit a
note on our website. When you sign out, you prevent others from accessing your
personal information, such as your profile.
Note: Closing your Web browser or leaving the VPO Web site does not
automatically sign you out. You need to explicitly click a Log Out link to ensure
that you are signed out.

What do I do if I forget my member name, password, or other member information? |
If you forget your password, click the
Forgot Password? link in the Right Hand
tool bar on the VPO Home Page. On the Password Recovery page that appears next, enter
your email address you used when you registered on the site and click Email My Password.
VPO sends an e-mail message with your password to the e-mail address that you provided
when you registered.
If you forget your member name, send an e-mail message to
help@virtualpressoffice.com. We will
then use your name and other information to find your username and password. If you
can't remember your member name or your password, you can
re-register with a new member name and password.
However, when you re-register, your personalized member information such as stored notes
or "My NewsPage" settings will not carry over to your new account.

Can I change my profile and Release on Demand settings? |
| Yes. To change your profile or
any other personal information, sign in and then click
the Profile link on the VPO Home Page. |

What is my newspage and how do I change the settings? |
|
The My News page is the online counterpart to Release on
Demand. This page displays the news from your subscribed
categories. To update your subscriptions login, and click the
Profile link. This will take
you to your personal settings and information.

How do I search VPO effectively? |
There are many ways to search VPO.
Most of the areas on the site have their own searches.
- To search only a specific area of the site, use the search
located in the upper right hand corner. Enter the keyword
and select This Area. If the area is searchable, it
will dispaly results from the area, otherwise it will
default to searching all of VPO.
- To search all of VPO, use the search located in the upper
right hand corner of the site, enter your keyword and select
All of VPO. This search will return News Releases,
Images, Invitations, Multimedia/Supporting Documents,
Companies and Shows that match your search keyword.

What is VPO's refund policy? |
VPO will provide a full refund to customers prior to the
creation of their information area on the VPO site. Once the company
area is live, whether or not documents have been submitted, no
refunds will be available for that transaction. If you have
